Oh dear, another fine mess I got them into...

The annual HaLo Witsun Bank Holiday Birthday Bash was a huge success, probably one of the best we've had so far. How lucky I am to have such fabulous friends, and how wonderful to enjoy another night where so many of them were gathered together, revelling in collective gorgeousness. Even a few of the old lightweights put on their dancing shoes and shuffled about a bit ;)

It makes me really happy to see friends from different spheres of my life instantly connecting and forming new friendships. Some important people were absent, but still there in spirit.

Steve Bennett - Top Bloke R.I.P.

Steve Bennett lost his fight against double lung cancer today.

I knew Steve for more than 20 years, he was a very special person. One of the most chilled out people I've ever met, with a brilliantly philosophical view of the world, Steve had wickedly sharp, dry sense of humour and an outrageous sense of fun.

In the 80s, my mates & I all used to go out of our way to visit Steve at his sweetie shop in Clayhall, Ilford. Steve's shop was the only place in or around London where you could buy King Sized Rizlas, especially imported and only available in red. Steve's interest in that shop has long gone, but many strong friendships formed then have endured right up until today.

He will be missed by so many people, especially his gorgeous wife Sue, twin daughters Katie & Coral and handsome son Tim.

Thanks for the happy memories mate.

What a Weekend!

It's been quite a weekend, Friday night kicked it off with Johnny Cash and Candy's Monster Mash birthday party, a Casa Club production at Tito's, a great little venue in London Bridge. We kidnapped Sqibbzta on the way, bundled him into the car, forced him to party and no one took a blind bit of notice of his jumper. I played some old Hard House tunes to a fantastic crowd of "proper people", who all jumped about, grinning and gurning. Many Happy Returns to Johnny & Candy & thanks for another top night.

With just enough time to recover, sew some sequins onto my pointy titty bra, and exchange last night's Hard House selection for some top Hard Trance tunes, it was giddyup and off to Vauxhall with the HaLo-iSsImUs cru for a euphoric night of hands-in-the-air action at Menthol, where Taz and Kay host the best trance night in London. It was a real treat to see so many happy faces, friends and strangers alike, particularly the HaLo-iS fan club in their custom made tee shirts. Many thanks to my haute couturiers, Jonnie B & Angela, who produced a spangled minty confection especially for the night, watch this space for pics...
